Terms of Use
Last updated: May 2026
Acceptance
By downloading or using Wedding Player, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Licence
Wedding Player grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions on iOS, and the Google Play Terms of Service on Android.
In-App Purchases
Wedding Player offers a one-time Full Access purchase and an auto-renewable Professional Licence subscription. On iOS, all purchases are processed by Apple; on Android, by Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings → Subscriptions (iOS) or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (Android).
Apple Music
Apple Music integration is available on iOS only and requires an active Apple Music subscription managed separately through Apple. Wedding Player does not provide access to Apple Music content independently. Apple Music is not available on Android; on Android, you can use Wedding Player Originals (our curated instrumental collection) or your own audio files.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any music files you import into Wedding Player. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you add to the app.
Music Rights and Licensing
Wedding Player includes Wedding Player Originals, a curated collection of fully licensed instrumental tracks that you may use in your ceremony. For all other music — tracks from Apple Music (iOS only) or your own audio files — you are solely responsible for ensuring you hold the necessary rights, licences, or permissions. In all cases, you are responsible for any public performance licences that may apply at your venue. Wedding Player does not determine whether your event constitutes a public or private performance under applicable copyright law.
No Professional Service
Wedding Player is software. We are not wedding planners, audio engineers, sound technicians, event coordinators, or officiants, and we provide no professional advice or service. The app is a tool you use at your own discretion. Ceremony planning, equipment, venue logistics, and music selection are entirely your responsibility.
Live Event Use
Wedding Player is a playback tool, not a professional audio or event coordination service. While the app is designed for reliable ceremony-day use, playback depends on your device hardware, battery, audio output, and environment. We strongly recommend a full rehearsal before your ceremony. We accept no responsibility for disruptions caused by device failure, audio equipment, venue conditions, network issues, or any other circumstances outside the app’s control, including (without limitation) emotional distress, loss of enjoyment, costs of re-running a ceremony, or third-party fees incurred as a result of any such disruption.
Backup Responsibility
You are responsible for testing your ceremony playlist on the device you intend to use, ideally in the venue itself, before the event. You are responsible for maintaining a backup audio source (such as an alternative device, an offline playlist on another platform, or a venue PA with its own playback) in case of device failure, audio output problems, or any other circumstance beyond the app’s control.
Disclaimer
Wedding Player is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we design the app for reliable ceremony playback, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. We recommend rehearsing your playlist before the day. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to your use of Wedding Player in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the app and any in-app purchases in that period, or (b) £100. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including (without limitation) loss of profits, loss of data, loss of enjoyment, costs of re-running a ceremony, third-party fees (such as photographer, videographer, venue, or officiant costs), or any reputational or emotional harm. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Wedding Player shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing a claim in any other jurisdiction where you are entitled to do so under applicable consumer law.
Identity
Wedding Player is currently operated by Don McAllister, trading as Wedding Player, based in the United Kingdom. We will update these terms to reflect the company structure once a corporate entity is in place.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
