Buy individual tracks
If you do not have Apple Music, or you are on Android, you can buy mainstream tracks outright. You pay once and the file is yours forever, with no subscription. Several digital music stores let you do this entirely on your phone. All stores below sell DRM-free files that work with Wedding Player.
Availability and catalogue vary by country, so check which ones serve your region.
Where to buy
Stores that sell DRM-free downloads
- iTunes Store Built into iPhone (worldwide)
The purple star icon, separate from the Apple Music app. Search, tap the price to buy, and the track lands in your Apple Music Library. Import via Add Apple Music in Wedding Player. iTunes Store tracks have been DRM-free since 2009, so you do not need an Apple Music subscription to play tracks you have bought.
- Amazon Music Store Web-based (open in Safari or Chrome)
The standalone Amazon MP3 storefront URL is no longer signposted, but you can still buy individual MP3s through the Amazon Music web player. Sign in with your Amazon account and search for the track. Tap the three-dot menu next to it to find the link to purchase the MP3, then download. Files are DRM-free MP3. Buy via the browser, not the Amazon Music app, because in-app purchase rules block direct music sales inside that app.
- Bandcamp Global
Strong for indie, electronic, classical, jazz, and direct-from-artist purchases. Choose between MP3, FLAC, and others on download.
- Qobuz Strong European and US coverage
Wide mainstream catalogue including chart pop, classical, and jazz. Offers MP3, FLAC, and Hi-Res downloads. On iPhone choose MP3 (Wedding Player on iPhone does not accept FLAC). On Android either MP3 or FLAC works.
- 7digital UK and Europe
Sells DRM-free MP3s through the web browser.
- Beatport Dance and electronic
Dance, electronic, and DJ-oriented catalogue.
- HDtracks US and global
High-resolution downloads. Choose MP3 or M4A for compatibility.
Format guidance
Which format to choose
MP3 (or M4A) is the safe default on both platforms. iPhone users should stick with MP3 or M4A, since Wedding Player on iPhone does not accept FLAC. Android users can use MP3, M4A, or FLAC.
Most chart tracks land in the same broad price range across these stores, and you only need to buy the handful of songs you will actually play on the day.
Get it into the app
After buying, import the track
After buying, the file lands in Files › Downloads on iPhone (for browser purchases) or in the relevant app's library or Downloads folder on Android. iTunes Store purchases land in your Apple Music Library on iPhone.
- iTunes Store purchase (iPhone): import via Add Apple Music in Wedding Player.
- Browser purchase (Amazon, Bandcamp, Qobuz, etc.): import via Add Local Files in Wedding Player.
See How to import into Wedding Player for the full step-by-step.
